About Matt
A straightforward conversation before a financial commitment.
I’m a Mortgage and Protection Adviser based in Melksham, working with My Simple Mortgage. My role is to understand the full position, explain what may be relevant and help clients move through the process with clear expectations.
I regularly help first-time buyers, home movers, remortgage clients, self-employed applicants, limited company directors, contractors, CIS workers and families reviewing protection.
The work behind the recommendation
Clear explanations and steady communication.
Understand the position. Check the detail. Explain what may be worth considering.
A structured approach can help identify the evidence, questions and next steps relevant to the individual circumstances. It does not assume that one route will be right for everyone.

Client feedback
A client’s experience, in their own words.
Every mortgage journey is different. This review describes one client’s experience of the communication and support they received during a time sensitive move.

We came to Matt with a particularly complicated and extremely time-sensitive situation. We needed to secure a mortgage very quickly to keep our house purchase and the wider chain together, and from the moment we spoke to him he has been absolutely relentless in trying to make it happen.
Matt has been incredibly responsive and completely on the ball throughout. He has chased the lender, spoken directly with their intermediary and business development teams, pushed for things to be expedited wherever possible and kept us updated every step of the way. Even when I’ve been chasing him for updates because of the pressure we’re under, he has always responded quickly and done everything he can to get answers for us.
We’ve had some unexpected hurdles along the way and Matt has worked tirelessly to find solutions rather than simply telling us something couldn’t be done. When time really mattered, he understood the urgency and treated it as though it mattered just as much to him as it did to us.
Buying and selling a house can be incredibly stressful, particularly when you’re working to such tight deadlines, and having someone who is proactive, approachable and genuinely willing to keep pushing makes such a difference.
Thank you Matt for everything you’ve done and for being so relentless in getting this over the line for us. We really appreciate it and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you.
